Current Custom Booking Cycle is- Closed 2025 custom appointments opened in February and closed in March. These slots will be booked through the summer of 2025 and there will be a waitlist for folks who I cannot fit in this quarter for the later part of the year. Books will reopen when I finish the waitlist.
If you want an appointment in 2025 you can request flash by email. I also often open freehand bookings.
What do I do to secure my appointment? On February 22nd you can click on these links to fill out a form for custom work or an intuitive tattoo. You can even submit a form if you want a touch up or a flash booking. Rae doesn't take every single request but tries to accommodate as many people as possible each round. The form is essentially an application process in which Rae will email you back to either confirm an appointment or let you know they are passing on your project. From there you pay a deposit. If Rae doesn't take your idea and you need a recommendation for another artist please ask. She is happy to help you find the right fit.
How can I ensure you like my ideas? Rae will always book out flash first, then gives priority to large projects or folks who have more flexibility in their budget and schedules. They prioritize the following imagery, styles, and placements:
Imagery: folk inspired, spiritual (tarot and astrology), large floral, bugs, birds, botany, pottery, vintage objects, medieval weaponry, feminine faces, eyes, human anatomy, celestial, mythology, woodland animals, text
Styles:abstract, ornamental, surrealism, semi-realism, standard style blackwork, stipple shading, color mixed with black and grey
Placements:full or half sleeves, back, shoulder or collarbones, chest, stomach, sternum, knee, hands, neck
Rae also loves doing any tattoo placement and size, these are just given first priority.
How can I get an appointment? Read the booking information above this to see where Rae is in the booking cycle. Flash is usually open through email request. Customs and intuitive projects have a form application and usually open a few times a year. Follow the email newsletter to stay updated on Rae’s books. What Do You Charge?

Full day prices- $1000-1200 (7-8 hours) Half day- $500-650 (3-4 hours)
Flash is charged per piece and agreed on before the tattoo session. When reaching out about a project, please include your budget. Rae is able to accommodate most budgets within reason. Please note: Tipping is appreciated, but NOT necessary. The price you are quoted takes into account fair compensation for you artist!
What is Your Cancellation Policy?
Rae is very reasonable about rescheduling, especially due to emergencies, sickness, and chronic illness. Do not come to the appointment if you feel sick or if you have been around someone who has been sick.
If you must cancel/reschedule, please do so 48 hours in advance. Your original deposit will be honored at the time of your rescheduled appointment. If you must reschedule more than once, you will be charged an additional deposit. Cancellation without rescheduling may result in forfeiting your deposit. If you are running late please send an email. If you are more than 20 minutes behind, please know that you may be asked to reschedule.
Can I Book a Consult?
Rae most often does consultation appointments for large scale work and coverups. When booking you will be offered a consultation in case you would like to see your design beforehand. Rae will never send designs over email or DM*. If Rae thinks that a consult will benefit the design process, then they will ask to set one up when booking your appointment.
*this policy differs for intuitive designs
Can I get Tattooed if I am Not 18 or Older?
Rae does not tattoo minors under any circumstance. However, you may book an appointment if you are 17, but will be 18 by the time of the appointment.
Will You do Other Artist's Designs?
If you have purchased a tattoo voucher then it is up to Rae's discretion if she will take it on. Rae will not tattoo another artist’s work without a tattoo voucher/proof of permission. Handwriting tattoos are welcome.
How Do I Prepare to Get Tattooed?
You can best prepare for a tattoo by being well rested, hydrated, and full. Do not come to your appointment without eating a snack or meal at least two hours beforehand. Avoid taking any NSAIDS like Advil or Ibuprofen. Do not drink alcohol the day before, and avoid drinking excessive amounts of caffeine. You are welcome to bring a snack, drink, headphones, fidget toys, and anything that will make you feel comfortable during your session.
May I use Numbing Cream? No unfortunately numbing cream has been deemed unsafe by the Michigan government and cannot be used for any body art procedures. I cannot risk tattooing you if you have applied numbing cream. Please do not use numbing cream unless you have a prescription from your doctor and proof of the prescription.
What Should I Wear to the Appointment?
Please wear dark clothing or clothing that you do not mind getting stained; you may get ink on your clothing as you move around. You can always change in the bathroom at the shop. Please try to dress in layers for your own comfort and the tattoo process. For advice on what to wear for specific placements, please email Rae before your appointment.
How can I get an Intuitive Tattoo?
Intuitive tattoos are a longer process with a natal birth chart analysis and tarot reading. This process is booked out when Rae opens the form to apply. This happens 1-2 times yearly and Rae often takes a waitlist.
